Meet the Head of School for BASIS Independent Fremont’s Lower School Campus

No stranger to the educational sphere, Mr. Josiah Wagoner has come to guide BASIS Independent Fremont’s Lower School following his experience as a Professor of Education, an educational administrator, educational content creator, and elementary school teacher. As the Associate Head of School and Director of Primary program at BASIS Independent Fremont, he nurtured the young careers of future teachers and trained them to implement the latest educational best practices. As a Dean of Students and Learning Expert Teacher, Mr. Wagoner developed expertise on the Social-Emotional needs of students, becoming known as an empathetic administrator who always puts the needs of students first.

While creating and implementing curriculum and guiding educators, Mr. Wagoner accumulated a wealth of experience in elementary learning and development, making him exceptionally suited to lead BASIS Independent Fremont’s Lower School campus as the new Head of School.

Celebrating Community in a New School Year

With the start of the 2021-2022 school year at BASIS Independent Fremont and many of our young scholars having been out of the traditional classroom environment for the better part of two years, it was clear that our first order of business for the school year needed to be…CELEBRATING! Fremont Fall 2022 Admissions Guide: Applying for Grades TK–9

We are excited to launch admissions for Fall 2022 for grades TK–9!

Admissions is now open and you may click here to submit your application for our Early or Regular Admissions cycle.

At BASIS Independent Fremont, students and Subject Expert Teachers engage in a spiraling liberal arts and sciences curriculum benchmarked to the best education systems in the world. We believe in setting a higher standard for students and promoting self reliance and accountability in an environment where learning is encouraged and celebrated.

Early and Regular Admissions
This year, we have two admissions cycles: Early and Regular Admissions. Early Admissions is only open for Transitional Kindergarten (TK), while Regular Admissions is for grades TK–9.
