BASIS Independent Silicon Valley has proudly celebrated many firsts since the first day of school, August 20, 2014.

Together with students and staff, we are creating traditions that will remain a lasting part of the school culture of BASIS Independent Silicon Valley, which is one of the most exciting aspects of being part of an emerging school community.

Recently, the Prom Committee, comprised of volunteer Leadership members, hosted its very first prom for BASIS Independent Silicon Valley. Their hard-work and collaboration was evident by the attention to detail and overall success of the event.

After strutting down the red carpet in their 1920’s themed suits and dresses, students dined, mingled, and enjoyed the view on the 17th floor of the scenic Knight Ridder building.

Memories were captured throughout the evening with a professional photographer and photo booth.

The evening concluded with music requests for our live DJ and dancing.

Check out our Facebook page for all the fun, silly, and fantastic photo booth pictures. Here’s to the first of what is sure to become a favorite, long-lasting BASIS Independent Silicon Valley tradition.
