As the first day of our inaugural school year approaches, we're thrilled to unveil to you the team that will make up the founding faculty & staff of BASIS Independent McLean. We're pleased to introduce to you Nicole Jackson, Early Education Teacher: Prekindergarten at BASIS Independent McLean.

Ms. Nicole Jackson joins BASIS Independent McLean as an Early Education Teacher in our nicole-jackson.jpgPrekindergarten class.

Ms. Jackson graduated in 2007 from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. In 2012, she graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is a proud alumni of the 2010 Teach for America, Los Angeles Corps, where she began her career educating Pre-Kindergartners. Prior to teaching at Basis Independent McLean, Ms. Jackson taught Preschool at a high achieving charter school in Washington DC.

Ms. Jackson says that her goal as an Early Education Teacher is “to instill an intrinsic love of learning in every preschooler, inspire curiosity and a desire to ask questions about the world around them.”

Outside of teaching our scholars, Ms. Jackson enjoys reading, trying out new recipes, going on picnics and watching musicals.
