We invite you to join our Virtual Open House on Saturday, January 22. Open House is the best way to learn about our advanced curriculum, discover our talented subject expert teachers, and meet our dynamic students and parents!
As we work to keep our learning community safe and learning on campus, we are moving our January Open House to Zoom. You will still meet our talented faculty and administration. You will still hear from our current students and parents. And, you will still experience the vibrancy of our Red-Tailed Hawk community – just virtually. So, join us from the comfort of your home (no matter the weather) to learn what makes BASIS Independent McLean unique – not just in the DMV but around the world!
Open House Structure
As an age 2 to grade 12 private school, your family may be looking at one or many sections of our school. To help your family focus on the most relevant program areas, we have divided our Virtual Open House into the following sections:
Toddlers and PreK (Ages 2-4) 9:00-10:00 AM
Kindergarten 9:00-10:00 AM
Grades 1-3 9:00-10:00 AM
Grades 4-5 10:00-11:00 AM
Grades 6-8 10:00-11:00 AM
Grades 9 and Above 10:00-11:00 AM
Welcome and Introductions – Each Open House section will kick-off with a welcome and introduction, where we will introduce you to our growing community of enthusiastic students, parents, teachers, and staff.
Program Overview – Next your family will learn more about our advanced curriculum and supportive community from our faculty and Student Affairs team.
Teacher Spotlights – Ask any BIM student what makes our school unique, and they will likely tell you the teachers. During academic sessions, our expert teachers will share their backgrounds and passions with you. They will show you how they make learning both challenging and fun!
Student/Parent Perspectives – At BIM, we work in dynamic partnerships with parents to help our students learn and grow to be good friends, citizens, and leaders. For Early Learning (Toddler-Kindergarten) and Primary families, our parents will share their unique insights into our community, while those joining our Middle and High School sessions will hear directly from our Red-Tailed Hawks. Ask them how BIM is preparing them to soar!
