Congratulations to the Class of 2022 for their determination and success in the college application process this year. The list below is indicative of their varied interests and talents. While additional acceptances are still possible from waitlists, all seniors have secured a spot at an amazing institution of higher education for the next four years.

This application season has been quite unique in its challenges. Many selective colleges across the country saw a dramatic increase in their application pools, and a few top-ranked universities fell below 6% in their acceptance rates! Most colleges stayed test-optional this application season and starting this year, the University of California system will no longer consider SAT or ACT test scores when making admissions decisions or awarding scholarships. Despite the turmoil and uncertainty, our seniors stayed focused, trusted the process, and applied to a variety of colleges that met their needs and interests. In the end, our 20 graduates were accepted to 70 colleges and universities across the globe.

In the senior class, 90% have chosen to attend college out-of-state, and 20% are headed to another country for university. They will focus their studies in a variety of majors: Aerospace Engineering, Anthropology & Archeology, Biochemistry, Business/Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Health, Finance, Government, Mathematics, Political Science, and Sociology. Our graduates who have decided to attend college with the popular Undecided major, are only undecided because they are interested in so many different majors that they are not yet ready to commit to one.

Looking into the numbers, according to the 2022 U.S. News & World Report college ranking data,

• 100% of our graduates were accepted to a Top 25 Public University
• 85% of our graduates were accepted to a Top 40 National University

The seniors began their college application process during their College Counseling Boot Camp last May, and the acceptance list below marks the culmination of 12 months of hard work and application dedication. It has been quite a year and I am excited for what the future brings for the Class of 2022.

Please join us in congratulating our Class of 2022 Red-Tailed Hawks!

College Reveal

Our current students, parents, and staff are invited to our College Reveal on May 5, at 6 PM. College Counselor Ms. Irving will host the event where graduates will showcase their college choices. This event will not be recorded, so all of those interested must join via the Zoom invitation shared in the STM newsletter last week. We look forward to celebrating with you all.

Congrats to our Class of 2022!
