The Senior Project is the crowning achievement of the BASIS Curriculum. The last two years may have looked a little different—with Senior Project research, on-site work, and presentations taking a virtual form—but our students persevered in order to complete this extraordinary milestone.
This blog sheds some light on the Senior Project, its history, our incredible advisors, and most importantly, the students who continue to show that they can and will exceed all expectations.
In the fall of 2021, the BASIS Independent Manhattan Upper School campus building is set to open, which will continue our students’ academic journeys through a complete high school experience. As our rising grade 10 students get closer to their Senior Year, we benefit greatly from a relationship with our sister campus, BASIS Independent Brooklyn, and use them as a model of what future success will look like for us. Not only that, but also we like the collaboration that can benefit all of our students. A very good example of this synergy can be found in a Senior Project conducted by Zihan S. (Class of 2021, BASIS Independent Brooklyn).
We are excited to welcome you and your family to another admissions season and school year. We have so much to share with you and wanted to spend some time introducing our campus, but more importantly, outlining our unique High School Program. You can read more below regarding our curriculum and commitment to educating students to the highest international levels.
Inspired by the blissful feeling of uncovering connections, our blog Eureka! Manhattan is about sharing moments that capture the essence of what it is to be a BASIS Independent student, teacher, administrator, or family.
