For two days in early March, BASIS Independent Fremont was a center of cultural activity! Parent volunteers and student cultural ambassadors shared the Chinese culture with the entire school community through a variety of activities and performances.
At BASIS Independent Fremont, a K-8 private school, we have designed a world-class curriculum to redefine the formative middle school years to develop creative, innovative and global thinkers ready to excel in high school and beyond.
In our program, middle school students engage in high-level content across disciplines. They are guided by Subject Expert Teachers with advanced degrees who develop students with in-depth application of critical thinking skills.
Middle School Highlights Include:
Our Open House is a great opportunity for prospective families interested in kindergarten through grade six to learn more about our program.
Head of School, Dr. Ashley Leyba, will provide an introduction to our school's philosophy, mission, two-teacher model and more. A representation of our teaching staff will be available for a "Meet & Greet" and to share their vision of the classroom.
These past few weeks have been busy for us at BASIS Independent Fremont! We've hosted a record number of families at various community events as our first-year academic cohort takes shape. Keep reading for highlights of our evening with BASIS.ed Co-Founder Dr. Michael Block and our Engineering Day where BASIS Independent Fremont students engaged in friendly, creative robotics competition.
When a student brings us a great idea, we do everything we can to make it a reality. Third grader at our sister school BASIS Independent Brooklyn, Eden E. approached faculty asking if she could have a Bake Sale to raise money for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Cancer Center. She came with a written proposal, a volunteer list and a poster. Below, an administrator's experience with supporting and nurturing the idea above and beyond just a singular act of kindness.
Inspired by the blissful feeling of uncovering connections, our blog Eureka! Fremont is about sharing moments that capture the essence of what it is to be a BASIS Independent student, teacher, administrator, or family.
