Meet Our Faculty & Staff: Audrey Hagopian, Director of Student Affairs

As the first day of our inaugural school year approaches, we're thrilled to unveil to you the team that will make up the founding faculty & staff of BASIS Independent Fremont. Many thanks to all who have participated in our numerous hiring events that have led to the hiring of such a talented group of professionals. We're pleased that you took part in such a crucial process of the establishing of our cohesive school community. First up, meet Audrey Hagopian!

Audrey Hagopian is the Director of Student Affairs at BASIS Independent Fremont.

Originally from North Carolina, Ms. Hagopian earned her Bachelor's of Science in Environmental Science and Chemistry from Duke University. While at Duke University, Ms. Hagopian taught chemistry lessons to K-12 students through a program called Duke Chemistry Outreach. She conducted research in Environmental Toxicology, specifically studying the health effects of exposure to triphenyl phosphate from common household products. Ms. Hagopian, who is a classically trained ballet dancer, also served as the director of an arts-focused after-school program in North Carolina, where she provided tutoring in math and English and ran the ballet and creative movement classes for children aged 3 to 12.
