Day in the Life of a 2022 BIF TK Bumblebee
Transitional kindergarten (TK) is a student’s first and most formative introduction to navigating routines and cultivating autonomy. We, as parents and caretakers, may have fuzzy memories from this time, and a lot has changed since we were little ones experiencing the thrills of transitioning to a “big kid school” for the first time. When families begin learning about our Early Learning and Primary programs, they often ask us the same question: “Why do we teach Mandarin to all our students?"
Mandarin is a required part of our curriculum from Transitional Kindergarten to Grade 4 because Mandarin provides our early learners with the opportunity to engage both sides of their brains.
