As we approach the start of the school year, we introduce to you a new content series answering some of the most frequently asked questions about our program, from things like understanding elements of our curriculum to gaining clarity on our after school program.

First up, we answer a question we are asked -almost unanimously- by parents considering our program for their incoming kindergartner: What are the age requirements at BASIS Independent Fremont?

Answer: Cut off dates can vary at private schools and public schools in the Bay Area. At BASIS Independent Fremont, students entering kindergarten must turn 5 by December 31 of their kindergarten school year. If you have a child who doesn't turn 5 until after December 31 of the kindergarten school year, you need to wait to apply until the following school year. If your child will be 5 before December 31, you are in luck!

If you are interested in submitting an application for a child that turns 5 between September 2 and December 31, please call us at (510) 775-5822.
