We recently celebrated the grand opening of BASIS Independent Bellevue through an official ribbon cutting ceremony! Joining this celebration included the Spring Education Group leadership team, BASIS Independent Schools leadership, the BASIS Independent Bellevue administrative team, and our students, faculty, and staff.
BASIS Independent Bellevue, a private school, opened with Grades 2 - 7 in August of this year. Over the next several years, our campus will grow into a middle and high school, and expand through Grade 12.
The celebration included a musical performance from our Band and Orchestra students, led by Subject Expert Teacher, Mr. Escobar. Guests were treated to a passionate welcome from our Grade 2 students as guests entered our MPR. Mr. Toby Walker, Vice President of BASIS Independent Schools, and Mrs. Elizabeth Thies, Head of School of BASIS Independent Bellevue shared this milestone through speeches regarding the journey to open our newest school in the BASIS Independent Schools network.
"Opening a new BASIS Independent School is the culmination of so much hard work on behalf of our staff, students, families, and administrative team," expressed Mrs. Thies, Head of School. "It was nice to take a moment to honor the role that everyone has played in this process. It has been such a pleasure to be a part of this journey with such amazing people. The best part of this is that we have only just opened and it already feels like something really special. I am confident that the foundational work that we are doing now is going to continue to blossom and allow our students to learn and grow in an educational environment that is conducive to success."
